Pension Harmony The owner of the pension is a former Czechoslovak and Slovak basketball player Andrea Kuklová, who would like to invite you to this family pension. Among her biggest basketball achievements are participation at Olympic Games '92 in Barcelona, as well as 2nd and 3rd place on the European Championship. The best championship for her was the one in '95, taking place in Brno, where she made it to the ALL STAR TEAM, and based on her performance in that year she was announced as the 2nd best basketball player in Europe. She was drafted by WNBA team Phoenix Mercury, and she still remains the only Slovak basketball player to play in this most prestigious league. Her team even made it to the finals in '98. After several years spent abroad (Germany, France, U.S.A.) she returned home and in 2000, with the team SCP Ružomberok, she won the European league FIINAL FOUR 2000. Pension is situated in the village of Velka, that is an administrative part of town Poprad. The pension is located in medieval central square of the village, near the park. Newly refurbished pension provides its guests with accommodation in 8 double-beds, each with an extra-bed possibility. The rooms are equipped by a masive wooden furniture. Each room has a private bathroom and toilet. Boarding is provided in the own restaurant (just breakfast at the moment) and will serve also as a social room. The safe parking in the house yard is provided. There are food shops, bowling center and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the pension. Town of Poprad is the gateway for the High Tatras mountain range that is seen in 14 km distance, but also historic centre of town Poprad itself is attractive for visitors.
